In 1995, Marilyn Manson sparked interest with Sweet Dreams, which led to his EP, Smells Like Children, where a freshly transformed man proclaimed he was the All-American Anti-Christ. The controversy continued with Antichrist Svperstar in 1996, Mechanical Animals in 1998, and The Last Tour on Earth in 1999, where a burning cross graces the album cover. And now it will continue, into the Shadow of the Valley of Death, with Holy Wood, released in 2000.
